Still trying to sort out where I'm going to go with the new blog and how I am going to get started. Trying to learn the inside and outs first so I have some ground work
I've read many books about Katherine of Aragon. She is not the weakling portrayed in many books. Her weakness is attributed to her fighting tooth and nail to retain her marriage to that monster, Henry VIII. But she fought the annulment not only because she loved him but she was fighting for her rightful place as queen. I thought she displayed great strength and courage going toe to toe with Henry. She was also a competent regent when Henry was fighting the French. She successfully won a battle against the Scots. Her only weakness was loving that monster. Had I been her, I would have realized that he was king, nothing to be done and pulled an Anne of Cleves and lived a life of luxury.
